Holiday Greetings & Reflections

Happy Holidays!

The shopping is done, the presents are wrapped, the tree is trimmed. Greens adorn the mantle, lights twinkle from the trees in the yard and the smell of cookies permeates the house. For those who enjoy a white Christmas, we wish the snow was quietly falling and carols float across the rooms, filling the quiet spaces in your home.
This is a magical, mystical time of year. We gift our loved ones as an expression of our love. We get together with family and friends to connect, relax, and have fun. We donate food to feed the hungry, buy gifts for those less fortunate than us, contribute to our favorite charities and put our change in the Salvation Army bucket. We feel a sense of peace.
Put your attention in your heart space. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Isn’t your heart softer, more open, and filled with compassion?
What if you could take this feeling into the New Year? What would the world be like if we could live from the wisdom of our heart space? We think the heart is mushy and emotional. What if I told you that it is not?
The heart is intelligent, wise, and operates from a higher level
of consciousness than the brain!
When our heart chakra is open, our life is filled with compassion, connection, beauty, and love. This center bridges the gap between the earthly and spiritual planes. It is driven by aspirations of integrity, transformation, and spirituality.   We learn discernment, and get into the flow, accepting ALL that is, AS it is.
No judgment, no ego, no limitation.
We see more clearly, and compassionately.
This season, lets agree to engage in activities that
feed our heart,
bring us joy and
uplift our spirit.
Let’s focus on how good it feels to give, as well as to receive.
Let’s finally say goodbye to the old wounds experienced in family relationships and
practice forgiveness to self and others.
Let’s express gratitude in all things, no matter how simple.
Let’s commit to treating ourselves lovingly, speaking to ourselves kindly.
Then, let’s take this into the New Year, spreading our light and love to all.
This idea is brilliantly captured by John Lennon in the song Imagine :
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today.
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one.
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one.
Join us! The world needs you.
This season, we are sending you and your family
wishes from the heart for a
peaceful, joyful, fun filled, abundant holiday season.
Looking forward to an exciting, connected New Year!
