Hein Braat CD Om Mani Padme Hum/Om Mantra

The Om Mani Padme Hum mantra is said to be one of the most powerful of mantras because it contains the essence of all the teachings.  The Buddha in the Karandavyuha Sutra says: “This is the most beneficial mantra.”  A broad translation into English it means, “Om, the jewel is in the lotus.”

Om is the primordial sound or “vibration” of the universe. It is the sound that contains all sound and is the most important sound of all.  Its use in this mantra is meant to destroy attachments to ego and open self to generosity. Interestingly, the word “Amen” so often used in the Christian traditions is derived from Om. The lotus is referring to the 1,000 petaled lotus of the crown chakra and enlightenment.

This Hein Braat Om Mani Padme Hum Mantra CD is chanted by the hauntingly beautiful and resonant voice of Hein Braat who is the most famous mantra singer in the Netherlands. His popularity stretches across international borders.

As Hein Braat says of this mantra, “This CD is a meditation itself. By singing along with it one can experience the power of one of the most used Buddhist Mantras. It is said to be the seat of all Mantras.

The ancient and very deep going Mantra ‘Om’ fills the second part of this CD.  Try playing the CD as a background to clear a room of negativity and stress energies.
